We build the layer that makes AI safe for regulated banking.
Khordin is an enterprise software company headquartered in Singapore, serving financial institutions across Asia. We own and build the intellectual property behind Athena Connect.
Our thesis is straightforward. In banking, the constraint on AI has never been the model. It is the connection between the model and the institution’s most sensitive systems — and until that connection is secure by architecture and indifferent to where it runs, AI stays in the pilot stage and never reaches production. Athena Connect is that connection, built for institutions that are examined for a living.
Gajanan Bhaktha K — Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Gajanan founded Khordin after more than a decade in banking technology, working hands-on across the entire banking ecosystem — core banking platforms, middleware and integration layers, digital banking channels, card issuing and acquiring, payments, and more. That breadth gave him a ground-level view of how these systems connect, where they break, and why introducing new technology into a regulated bank is so hard. Seeing the same challenges repeat across institutions, he conceptualized Athena Connect — a secure, governed gateway that lets banks bring AI to their data without that data ever leaving their environment. He leads the commercial and institutional side of Khordin — what financial institutions need, how they evaluate, and how to deliver within their constraints — while the engineering team owns the technical delivery of Athena Connect.
Data never leaves the bank.
Athena Connect runs inside the institution’s own perimeter. Models come to the data; the data does not go to the models, and systems of record are never altered.
One gateway, every vendor.
Deployment-, application-, and AI-vendor-agnostic. Run the models you trust — on-premise, private cloud, or hybrid — across the core and the applications around it.
Built for examination.
Engineered to ISO 27001 and ISO 42001. Read-only by architecture, with audit logging, secrets management, and access control built for organizations that answer to regulators.
